Our Application Engineering and Experience Design departments are focused on designing and delivering the best applications for our customers. Our R&D is a leading contributor and creator of Open Source projects. Our Media and International divisions allow our clients to build community, content and reach international markets.

Our history
Founded in 2006 by Stéphane Distinguin and Louis Montagne, af83 has built a unique position as a fore-runner of avant garde technologies and practices. Our clients benefit from highly anticipated and disruptive technologies and practices long before they become mainstream. In 2008, af83 launched its San-Francisco based subsidiary, af83inc. In 2010, af83 launched a Drupal and e-commerce focused spin-off called CommerceGuys and a New Media oriented subsidiary called af83media. Our focus is now on the next generation of web platforms, involving breakthrough technologies like Ruby on Rails, MongoDB and NodeJS.

Creation of af83 by Stéphane Distinguin (FaberNovel) and Louis Montagne (Bearstech) during a brainstorming in the af83 flight from San Francisco to Paris
